Dance is a performing art form consisting of purposefully selected sequences of human movement. It has a wide range of physical and mental benefits as follows:

Increases muscular strength, endurance and motor fitness
Increases aerobic fitness

Manages weight
Makes bones strong and reduces the risk of osteoporosis
Relieves stress and improves mood

To make students overcome stress, enhance/develop creative power of imagination and nuances of using appropriate eye-hand-feet coordination with attentiveness, dance is included as a co-scholastic area of learning.
