The Council for the Indian School Certificate Examination was established by the
University of Cambridge Local Examinations Syndicate in 1958. It is mainly based on
the Anglo - Indian Educational system.
The candidates who have been awarded pass certificates in the ICSE examination
(English + Best 4 score) are eligible for admission to Grade XI. English and Socially
useful productive work (SUPW) is compulsory subjects in ISC. The syllabus has
been framed to tackle competitive examinations.
